Basic Computer Application Training

Our training program will provide you with an opportunity to learn basic computer skills. Although you can begin at any point by clicking on the appropriate objective, each skill builds on the previous skill, and, unless you are familiar with an objective, it would be best to start at the beginning. The goal of this training is to teach you the basics of starting up a computer, working with the computer interface (icons, windows and menus).  You will also learn the basics of, creating folders, and working with applications, documents and internet access, chatting and sending emails.

Objectives:

At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:

• Familiarize themselves with basic computer functions and operation
• Learn the concepts, terminology, and components of a personal computer
• Learn about the various applications, manage documents, presentations, and spreadsheets, and navigate the graphical user interface
• Learn to access and navigate internet sites, manage emails, and communicate with others through chat programs.
